Betty Gossin, Secretary

A little break to look at a picture of the founder of our feast: Woolie Reitherman's secretary Betty Gossin, who typed all the pages of the Sword in the Stone draft. The picture has been seen more often in articles highlighting John Sibley, but here the article is about Woolie and the film. Yes, Dick Lucas' name is spelled wrong.

John Lounsbery is known as one of the "Nine Old Men," and John Sibley was finally written about by Pete Docter in Animation Blast #9, but Dick Lucas, John Ewing, Eric Cleworth and Cliff Nordberg have so far been totally ignored by historians (as have Hal King, Hal Ambro and many others).
